Moonglow Barbershop Quartet

Nick was formerly head of the drama department at Craigmount High School in Edinburgh and was a founding member of The Rolling Hills Chorus, a barbershop chorus drawing its members from Edinburgh and its surroundings. He took over as Chorus Director from Maureen Dawson in 2004, and he also manages to find time to create arrangements and coach other quartets!

Nick Hayes (Tenor)

Jim works for IBM, based in Edinburgh but travelling widely to wherever the current project requires. He does frightfully clever things with computer systems and telecommunications. He is a pub quiz addict and very particular about punctuation and other details.

Jim Abercrombie (Lead)

Angus first heard the quartet sing at an IBM Burns Supper, and probably never thought then that one day he would be singing with us. (Must have been the whisky!) He also works for IBM but in a different section from Jim. As well as singing with Moonglow, he is the lead for the bass section in the Rolling Hills Chorus.

Angus Jamieson (Bass)

Andrew was also a teacher at Craigmount High School where he was pursuaded to join the Rolling Hills by Nick. Six years ago he was seconded to work in Edinburgh's central support unit for ICT in schools, from which he recently retired and now does independent consultancy work in the field of e-learning.
